I went up to shoot photos at Washougal this last weekend, what a great track with such awesome scenery. Great day of racing, check it out!
Welcome to Washougal.
They had the track lookin all purdy.
The perfectly groomed track was steaming in the morning sun.
The start that Chad Reed tweeted about : "Is this 1st turn safe? Massive tree and my favorite wooden stakes.....great combo!" Haha
The long whoop section looked tough.
Local boy Villopoto.
Shorty.
Reed was not his usual self but threw some whips or the fans in practice. He was definitely feeling the fall from last week.
Local pro Tommy Weeck was flying and the crowd loved it.
I think Malcolm Stewart is too big for a 250 and will be faster on a 450.
Weeck finished 6th in the first moto.
Barcia.
Boner air, flagger ready to wave! He didn't crash luckily.
Washington grown.
Dont worry, I wasn't planning on it.
Lots of people came out.
Mookie Stewart's ride with big Stewart hangin in the background.
All smiles for Malcolm.
You can bet Mitch Payton is happy this year.
Tuning Villopoto's whip.
Right after we made out for like 15+ minutes...
"I dont know I think the bars are still bent..."
Tye Simmonds.
Metcalf rode awesome for 3rd overall.
New to a factory bike Jake Canada looking good.
Ladies be chillin'
Some gnarly tattoos.
This guy reminded me of some Hollywood actor, can anyone tell me who I can't think of the name!
The Troy Lee bikes looked sick this weekend.
Reed's Cycle.
Musquin getting a pep talk from Decoster.
TV was live for every moto, pretty cool.
450 Moto 1
Canard was ripping early in the day, only to later eat shit scrubbing a jump....such a bummer for this guy.
Dungey owned Washougal this weekend.
Stalking down Villopoto in the first moto.
Finish Line.
250 Moto 1
"Hey check out my ass while I stand on your bike..." "EWWW I'm pulling my visor down idiot!"
Cunningham has been really fast lately.
Barcia getting some up horsepower hill.
Marvin Musquin.
Blake Baggett.
Travis Baker.
Old timers on old bikes must have been a rough one through these.
Lots of vintage bikes out today for their vintage celebration.
If you type the user name and password into your ECM you will get the holeshot.
Bad luck strikes for Canard, this bummed me out after hearing him talk on the podium about how happy he was to be racing.
Getting comforted, he looked to be in a lot of pain.
Get well soon Trey!
Another fine rockstar hunny.
450 Moto 2
Reed grabs some clear vision.
Alessi hunting down the Byrner.
I told you lot of people came out.
Dungey.
It was the Ryan Dungey show the second moto.
He had like an 11 second lead at one point.
Villopoto had nothing on him, but still rode like a beast.
Dungey celebrating and pointing to his Dad.
Sweet shirt bro are you Kappa Tappa Kegga!!??? OH YEAA!!
250 Moto 2
Baggett making moves toward the front.
Syncronized Troy Lee riders.
Wilson led every lap.
Barcia.
Rattray, this photo shows how many trees are around here. Beautiful place.
